Is it Hot in Here?

When I was a teenager, I loved to read books like Stephen King's The Stand, which describes a post-apocalyptic world with most people dying out from an epidemic, and the ensuing struggle for survival. I loved to see human ingenuity solving the problems at hand and I imagined what I would do in such a situation. I was also drawn to the Amish way of life, stripped down to the bare essentials, but retaining what is important. I often thought about what such a simple, hard working, self-sufficient life would be like.

It seems I might get to experience aspects of both these worlds in my lifetime. Please read this.

What are you doing to stop Global Warming? What do you know about Peak Oil?

It is time to get our heads out of the sand.
