The Sky is Falling, the Sky is Falling!

I don't want to take this blog in the direction of constantly ranting about what we are doing to our planet and all, but I just read a really important blog post that I had to share. I can't read that and not put in one more plug for everyone to do what we need to do to save our planet, for our children and grandchildren. I do want this blog to focus on my children, our unschooling lives and the joy of life, and I will work to do that. However, I also feel called to speak about what we are doing to save the planet, as a family. Every so often I will share some of the things we are doing. A lot of it is actually part of our unschooling, as we feel showing our children about these things is very important, and involving them in the solutions even more so. I'm not going to go into anything right now, but I do want to urge you to look at the blog and read some of her other posts. Part of me wants to think that she has it all blown out of proportion, but just in case she is right, and because it is the right thing to do, no matter what, I am working to make changes in our life, to simplify, to conserve energy, become more self sufficient, and to spread the word.

Oh, how I wish I was actually like Chicken Little, where this really is just a natural cycle of the Earth's climate and not the end of the world as we know it.

I really wish that more people would pay attention to just how wacky our weather is getting because of how we're destroying the Earth. If we keep going the way that we're going we're going to be really hurting really soon.
